Christopher Langill, and wife, to William Langill, Esq.
Registered 26th August, 1856, 10 o'clock a.m. on the oath of

Know all men by these presents that we, Christopher Langill (John's son), of the Mill Brook River John in the County of Pictou, Yeoman,
and Lucy Langill, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of three pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia
to us paid by William Langill of River aforesaid, Esquire, the receipt we hereby acknowledge.

Have and each of us hath granted, bargained, sold, released and conveyed and
by these presents do and each of us doth grant, bargain, sell, release and
convey unto the said William Langill, his heirs and assigns all that lot or parcel of land
containing fifty-seven acres, more or less, mentioned and described in the within
and foregoing Deed bearing date the fifth day of December A.D.1854
from John W. Harris, Esquire, Sheriff of the County of Pictou,
to the said William Langill and all our and each of our estate right, title, interest, property, claim and demand of, in,
to and upon the same in right of Dower or otherwise.

In witness whereof we have here to our hands and seals subscribed and set
this twenty-first day of August in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six.

On this twenty-first day of August A.D. 1856 personally appeared before me the subscriber,
one of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Pictou,
Lucy Langill, wife of Christopher Langill, parties to the within release
and being examined by me did acknowledge that she had signed and executed
the same as her own free act and deed and without any force or compulsion from her said husband.
