James and David Langill to William Langill
Registered 31st March 1845 at 8 o'clock p.m. on the oath of James Purves, J.P.

Know all men by these presents that James Langill and David Langill
in the County of Pictou, yeomen,
of or in consideration of the sum of forty-five pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia
to us paid by William Langill of the same place, yeoman,
the receipt whereof we hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed and confirmed unto the said William Langill, his heirs and assigns all that lot of land situate on the west side of River John aforesaid, on the east side of the road leading up to the said river, bounded on the west by the said road, on the north by land belonging to Matthew Langill, on the east by the said river and on the south by a brook dividing the said lot from land owned by Alexander Sutherland, containing twelve acres, more or less, with the appurtenances

To have and to hold the same to the said William Langill, his heirs and assigns forever provided always that if the said James Langill and David Langill, their heirs, executors, administrators or assigns the term of forty-five pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia with interest within four years from the date hereof, then this Indenture to be void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.

In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereto their hands and seal subscribed and set the twenty-eight day of March, one thousand, eight hundred and forty-five.

I hereby certify that on this 31st day of March A.D., 1845, Daniel Dickson one of the subscribing witness to the foregoing Indenture appeared before me and made oath that the same was duly executed in his presence by James Langill party thereto.
