James Langill, Senior, to Christopher Langill
Registered 5th April 1845 at 3 o'clock p.m.on the certificate of Alexander McKenzie, J.P.

Know all men by these presents that I, James Langill, Senior, of the Mill Brook, River John in the County of Pictou, yeomen,
in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia
to me paid the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge.
Have granted, bargained, sold, and enfeoffed unto Christopher Langill, James' son of River John, aforesaid in the county aforesaid, farmer, his heirs and assigns, all that certain lot or piece of land situate lying and being to the westward of the River John, in the County of Pictou aforesaid, abutted, bounded and described as follows.

That is to say, beginning at a stake and stones on the east boundary line of a lot of land belonging to the heirs of Joseph Langill, deceased, and running from thence north, along the same fifty-one chains and thirty links to a small pine tree on the south boundary line of Ephraim Patriquin's lot thence east along the same nine chains and seventy-five links to a stake, thence south fifty-one chains and thirty links to a stank and stones and thence west nine chains and seventy-five links to the place of beginning, containing fifty acres to be the same more or less, with the appurtenances.

To have and to hold the same to him, the said Christopher Langill, his heirs and assigns forever.

Witness my hand and seal, this third day of April A.D.1845.

I hereby certify that on the fourth day of April A.D., 1845, John Gould, one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Deed personally appeared before me and made oath that the foregoing Deed was duly executed in his presence by James Langill, Senior, the party thereto.
