James Langill, Senior, to Joseph and Isaac Langill
Registered 5th April, 1845, 5 o'clock p.m. on the certificate of Alexander McKenzie, J.P.

Know all men by these presents that I, James Langill, Senior, of the Mill Brook, River John, in the County of Pictou, yeoman, in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and enfeoffed unto Joseph Langill and Isaac Langill, both of River John aforesaid, in the County aforesaid, farmers, their heirs and assigns, all that certain lot or piece of land situate lying and being on the south side of the Mill Brook Road, so called, in the settlement of River John and County of Pictou, aforesaid, abutted, bounded and described as follows.

That is to say, beginning on the south side of the Mill Brook Road, aforesaid, and west boundary line of James Lauder's farm lot and running from thence south along said lot twenty-three chains to the north east angle of Jacob Langill's farm lot, thence west on said lot four chains, thence north twenty-three chains to the south side of the road aforesaid and east along the same four chains to the place of beginning, containing nine acres to be the same more or less, with the appurtenances.

To have and to hold the same to them the said Joseph Langill and Isaac Langill, their heirs and assigns forever.

Witness my hand and seal this third day of April A.D. 1845.

I hereby certify that on this fourth day of April, A.D. 1845, John Gauld, one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Deed, personally appeared before me and made oath that the said Deed was duly executed in his presence by James Langill, Senior, the party thereto.
