The earliest known ancestor of this line was Nicholas Bieri who died in York Co., Pennsylvania in 1762.   Nicholas emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1727 from Bern Switzerland and the Palatinate, Germany.   Nicholas' wife was named Barbara, possibly MILLER.   A known son was Nicholas Beery II (1739-1812) who was born in York County.   He and his wife, Mary Maria Keller, moved to Virginia and then to Fairfield Co., Ohio.
