1. Hans Adam "Johann" SHILLING. Born ca 1708 in Germany. Hans Adam "Johann" died in Cocalico, Lancaster Co., PA, ca 1796; he was 88.
Information below obtained from Lee Arthur Sulzberger. Hans arrived in Philadelphia on 11 Oct 1732 on the ship “Pleasant.” There was also a Phillip Schilling on that same ship. Brother?

Hans changed his last name from Schilling to Shilling or else it was recorded as Shilling on the records...at any rate, it stayed Shilling.

There may have been two other sons who “were carried away by the Indians of the region.” Years later one of the sons returned with the Indians to visit the area, but the other was never mentioned.” Fide: Myrtle Council, “History of the Shillings” Governor Mifflin Area History, Vol. 21, 2001.
On 14 Nov 1734 when Hans Adam "Johann" was 26, he married Rosanna “Rosina” WIDDER in Cocalico Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.
