From : http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/3443/genswyer.html Jacob moved to Evans NY about 1849. His wife's name was unreadable on the 1855 New York census. Jacob died before 1861, and possibly his wife also. When his father's will was probated in 1861, the children were living in different towns in Erie and Wyoming County. In the 1865 New York census, one of the children was found living with a family who claimed him as an adopted son.
