George's birth date is estimated as 1770. He died before Feb. 22, 1855; he is listed as deceased on his son John's marriage document.
George's occupation is listed variously on family documents as Carter, Salmon Fisher, and Labourer.
Ann was born in August 1773. She died February 23, 1863, at the age of 89 years and 6 months, at Old Bridge of Don, Aberdeen Scotland. She was the widow of George Peter, and the daughter of William Bruce and Jane Bowman. [1863, Dist. 168 2, Ent. 133.]
George and Ann were past 40 when John was born. Apparently, they had another son, James, whose daughter Annie married her cousin, the son of John..
I haven't found any record of their George and Ann's marriage, or of George's death.
