Sarah GARTON

Born 30 May 1847 and baptised 1 August 1847 in Normanton on Soar. Her parents were Henry & Sarah GARTON nee HENSON. Sarah married John BARKS on 25 July 1869 in Normanton on Soar.

Emmeline MILLS

Born c1906 East Leake Nottinghamshire a daughter of John MILLS and Gertrude Jane MALTBY. Emmeline married Lawrence PEBERDY on 26 Jun 1937 in Normanton on Soar.

Lizzie PARKINS

Born 6 Aug 1863 Harpenden Hertfordshire, daughter of James & Martha PARKINS nee SMITH. Lizzie married Henry GAZE in 1884. Henry was born 2 Sep 1860 in Normanton on Soar, son of Joseph & Ann GAZE nee HANDS. Henry died 14 Sep 1929 & Lizzie died 14 Aug 1932. Both are buried in Normanton on Soar.

Lawrence PEBERDY

Born 16 Apr 1893 in East Leake and baptised 16 Jul 1893 in Normanton on Soar, son of Tom & Agnes Amy PEBERDY (nee MALTBY). He married Sarah Evelyn MARSHALL on 11 Apr 1925 in Normanton on Soar. Sarah died and was buried 25 Apr 1936 in Normanton on Soar. Lawrence then married Emmeline MILLS. Lawrence was buried in Normanton on Soar on the 16 May 1964.

Lucy PEBERDY

Born c1864-1868 in Cotmanhay or Ilkeston Derbyshire (according to various documents) a daughter of Edward PEBERDY and Lydia WALDRAM. Her father Edward PEBERDY was born in Normanton on Soar son of John PEBERDY & Sarah WRIGHT. Lucy married Joshua MEADOWS in 1916 in Nottingham and she died in 1949 aged 88 years in Nottingham.

William WAKELIN

Born in 1839 & baptised 31 Aug 1845 in Normanton on Soar. He was the third illegitimate child born to Sarah WAKELIN.
