Biography* | | Obituary of Mrs. Margaret Burgen (sister of Lilly Culpepper). Mrs. Margaret Burgen, 56, died late Sunday afternoon at her home, 1206 North Kansas Avenue. She was born September 11, 1883, in Jefferson County, and had been a resident of North Topeka since 1913. Mrs. Burgen was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Surviving are her husband, Sam Burgen; two dauthers, Frances and Donna Burgen; one son, Earl Burgen, all of the home; one sister, Mrs. Lilly Culpepper, of McLeansboro, Ill., and two brothers William McKain of Topeka, and Ernest McKain, of Perry. The body was taken to Peebler's Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.2 |
