     Mr. Culpepper, a native of Houston County, was retired from Norwalk Truck Lines in Detroit. He was the son of the late Lewis and Maggie (Martin) Culpepper.
     Survivors include his wife, Effie Taylor Culpepper, Detroit; two sons, Herman of Detroit and J.T. of Granite City, IL; five daughters, Mrs. Beathe Parker, Mrs. Louise Hamilton, Mrs. Betty Geralds, Mrs. Jane Hoover, all of Detroit, and Mrs. Alice Riley, St. Louis, MO; 30 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
     Grandsons served as pallbearers.2
