A native of Randolph County, Mr. Liles came to Birmingham in 1923. He was an employee in the postal transportation department of the post office for 37 years. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion and Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Brown-Service Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood. Surviving are the widow; one son, Lt. Com. James E. Liles, U.S. Navy, Washington; two daughters, Misses Mary Ruth and Martha Louise Liles; two sisters, Miss Amber Liles and Mrs. W. G. Fountain, all of Birmingham.
