Services will be at 11 a.m. CDT Tuesday in Texico Baptist Church in Texico with the Rev. Rob Hollis officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. CDT in West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas, by Muffley Funeral Home.

Mary was born Oct. 25, 1914, to Jack and Robbie Conner Fortenberry in Lockney, Texas. She married Emmett J. Dorris on Oct. 11, 1938, in Portales.

Survivors include three sons, Cone Dorris of Yuma, Ariz., Jay Dorris of Phoenix and Curtis Dorris of Crested Butte, Colo; three sisters, Kate Bradley of Adrian, Texas, Alta Mae Higgins of Hereford and Chloe Dowd of Laurel, Ind; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Obituary*say 26 April 2006 Jack H. Dorris, 68, of Lexington died Monday, April 24, at Norman Regional Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell with the Rev. Barry McConathy officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.

Mr. Dorris was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Clovis, N.M., to Emmitt J. Dorris and Mary M. (Fortenberry) Dorris. He married Sandra Heaton May 29, 1960.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; one son, Levy Dorris and wife Kimmie of Lexington; two daughters, Gail Jansen and husband Brian of Purcell and Mary Leda Nelson and husband Michael of Afton; three brothers, Cone Dorris and wife Bonnie of Yuma, Ariz., Jay Dorris of Phoenix and Curtis Dorris and wife Maggie of Crested Butte, Colo; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Alisha, Bailey and Trey; one great-grandson, Brandon; and many other relatives and friends.2 
Burial*28 April 2006 His body was interred on 28 April 2006 at Hillside Cemetery, Purcell, McClain Co., Oklahoma.2
