(Betty Lee Collins) Hale is from p. 3A of the Weekly Moultrie Observer Wednesday 4 Dec 1991: Myrtle Rogers Wade Myrtle Rogers Wade, 76, of Valdosta died Thursday at her residence following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Berlin with burial in Wesley Chapel Methodist Cemetery. The Revs. Ben Williams and Gerald Poole officiated. Mrs. Wade was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Colquitt County to the late Robert Jasper Sr. and Amanda Elizabeth Sellars Rogers. She was married to the late George Edward Wade and was a homemaker. She is survived by four daughters, Guythea Preston of Lake Park, Karen Wallace of Valdosta, Anita Bjornestad of Woodland Hills, Calif. and Beth Cody of Twin Lakes; a son, Rodney Wade of Valdosta; and 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. |
