     Mr. Culpepper, 78, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was retired from from Cook's Construction Company.
     Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Louise Shirley Culpepper of Meridian; a son, James 'Jimmy' Culpepper Jr. and his wife, Judy; daughters, Sue C. Followay and her husband, Eddie, Frances C. Moffett and her husband, Cotton, Cindy C. Walker and her husband, Glenn, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Capt. Rob Culpepper and his wife, Angela, the Rev. Ryan Culpepper and his wife, Katie, Le Ann C. Oliver and her husband, Michael, Stacy F. Allen and her husband, Patrick, Kim F. Smith and her husband, Tommy, Jamie Followay, Jeremy Moffett, Chris Moffett, Joshua White, Glenn Walker Jr. and his wife, Dawn, Amanda Walker and Matthew Walker; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Culpepper, Savannah Culpepper, Megan Oliver, Brittany Allen, Jack Allen, Keaton Smith, Darcie Smith, Taylor Thames, Ashley Walker and Andre Pate; a brother, Clarence Culpepper and his wife, Mary; a sister, Bobbie Ann C. Walker and her husband, Davis and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Rob and Lela Culpepper.
     Pallbearers will be Capt. Rob Culpepper, the Rev. Ryan Culpepper, Jamie Followay, Jeremy Moffett, Chris Moffett and Joshua White. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Willie Neal Sunday School Class. Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.5 
Burial*1 October 2004 His body was interred on 1 October 2004 at New Hope Cemetery, Lauderdale Co., Mississippi.5,4
