Obituary*2 January 2015 Perry, GA- Lena "Janell" Culpepper, 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2015, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., the hour preceding the service, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mrs. Culpepper was born in Telfair County to the late H.L. Baker and Edna Knight Havens. A hard worker throughout her life, she managed several convenient stores in Middle Georgia, the last one being EnMark in Macon. Although she had not attended in a while, Mrs. Culpepper was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to and singing gospel music. She was preceded in death by husband, James C. Culpepper, and a brother, W.J. Baker.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Culpepper are her daughters, Sara Briscoe (Carl) and Donna Sasser, both of Ft. Valley; her siblings, Louise Brown of Eden, NC, Kay Jones (Rick) of Perry, and Leon Baker (Alma) of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.2

Monday, April 10 at the Perry United Methodist Church with interment in Perry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry United Methodist Church. -Mrs. Culpepper, a native of Andover, VA and the daughter of Fred and Edith Hatcher Willingham, had lived in Perry since 1958. A graduate of Asbury College, she was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church and the IHS Sunday School Class. Active in the church for forty-eight years, she served at youth director, children's coordinator, and church secretary until her death. -Survivors include her children, Lee Culpepper (Bethany) of McLean, VA and Diane Culpepper of Perry; brothers, Harold Willingham (Mable) of Johnson City, TN, Edward Willingham (Jenny) of Chattanooga, TN, Jerald Willingham (Emily) of Alexandria, VA, and Bobbie Willingham (Judy) of Austell; grandchildren, Whitney Culpepper, John Robert Culpepper, and Will Culpepper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Culpepper and a sister, Shirley Willingham Smith.2 
Burial*10 April 2006 Her body was interred on 10 April 2006 at Perry Memorial Gardens, Perry, Houston Co., Georgia.2
