Bonnie Mae Harbour1

F, (13 May 1930 - 22 July 2017)
Birth*13 May 1930 She was born on 13 May 1930 at Meridian, Lauderdale Co., Mississippi
Marriage*circa 1947 She married Clyde Malachi Culpepper Jr. circa 1947.1
Married Namecirca 1947  As of circa 1947, her married name was Culpepper.1
Death*22 July 2017 She died at Rome, Floyd Co., Georgia, on 22 July 2017 at age 87.
Obituary*say 23 July 2017 Bonnie Harbour Culpepper, 87,
passed away July 22, 2017 in
Rome, Georgia. She died
peacefully at home.
Bonnie was born May 13, 1930
in Meridian, Mississippi. She
graduated from Meridian High
School, where she was a drum
majorette. Bonnie married the
love of her life, Clyde
(“Buddy”) Culpepper in 1947.
His outgoing, exuberant
personality perfectly complemented Bonnie’s quiet demeanor.
They were married for forty-eight years and were completely
devoted to each other. They were blessed with four children.
Buddy’s airline career took the family to Charlotte, NC,
Houston, TX, and finally to Atlanta, GA. In her later years,
Bonnie worked at the BB&T Bank. She often mentioned how
privileged she felt to work with the wonderful people in her
office.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Buddy and her
son Craig. She is survived by her daughter Kathy; her son
Greg, and his wife Lee Anne; her daughter Julie, and her
husband Rick; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
and nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was a kind, caring person who provided comfort and
reassurance to many. To her family she was known as Bobba,
and everyone adored her. She had a special gift of empathy
that enabled her to form a close relationship with every
person in her life. Her hospitality was legendary; an excellent
cook, she always managed to include everyone for dinner,
even unexpected visitors. Her playful, good-natured sense of
humor lifted everyone’s spirits.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in
Bonnie’s memory be made to the American Heart Association.2
