Obituary*15 October 2013 PINE MOUNTAIN — The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Alvin Culpepper will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 1:00PM at the Bethany Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. Rev. J. E. Hightower will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
     Mr. Culpepper, a native of Harris County, was born December 20, 1919, and was the son of the late Will Culpepper and Lollie Maddox Culpepper. He was a United StatesArmyveteran ofWorld War IIand was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board.
     Survivors include Frances Pruitt; two daughters: Ella Mae Stargill, LaGrange, and Shirley Jean Culpepper; son, Will Author (Gloria) Culpepper, all of Newnan, GA; four stepsons: Robert (Dorothy) Pruitt, Willie C. Pruitt, Charlie Pruitt and Eddie Pruitt, all of Pine Mountain; two sisters: Charlie Jo Spratling and Hazel Clark; one brother, Vamus Culpepper, all of Pine Mountain; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers; one son, James Pruitt; and stepson, Quinton Pruitt.
     The family will be at the home of Willie C. Pruitt at 252 Hopkins Road in Pine Mountain and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 7. Condolences may be expressed by visitingwww.lakesdunsonrobertson.com. Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.2
