     Mr. Culpepper began working at the age of fourteen. He retired after thirty-six years of service from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula and was currently employed with Mississippi Security Police at First Federal in Gautier. He was a faithful member of New Life Church in Orange Grove. He loved to fish but especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren being their poppy.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace & Nola Mae Martin Culpepper; brother, Jimmie Culpepper; and a nephew, Scott Johnson.
     Mr. Culpepper is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Peggy Culpepper of Gautier; son, Jack Culpepper and wife Aimee of Gautier; grandchildren, Victoria Culpepper, Scott Culpepper and Chloe Culpepper; brothers, Bobby and Linda Culpepper of Lucedale, Frankie Culpepper of Gautier, Ray and Marie Culpepper of Hiram, Georgia and Tommy and Mary Culpepper of Pascagoula; sisters, Rita and Edward Taylor of Orange Grove, Annie and Ron Angers of Escatawpa and Bertie Mae Cochran of Biloxi; and a faithful sister in law, Janice Johnson of Gautier; brothers in law, Jerry and Jill Roberts of St. Elmo, AL and Johnny and Betty Roberts of St. Elmo, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
     Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11:00am from New Life Church in Orange Grove with Rev. Lavoy Hart officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to service time. Interment will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, Mississippi. An online register is available at www.holderwellsfuneralhome.com.1

     He is survived by his daughter, Patrice "Tisa" (Steve) Smith, Lucedale, MS; a son, Robert "Marty" (Karen) Stringfellow, Lucedale, MS; grandchildren, Logan and Robyn Smith, Lucedale; Summer Smith, Lucedale; Brandon and Tammy Stringfellow, Lucedale; and Keshia and Clint Harrison, Helena, MS; great grandchildren, Addison Smith, Kasen Smith, Payton Smith, Lexie Stringfellow, Hallee Stringfellow, Wyatt Harrison, and Eli Harrison; 3 brothers, Frankie Culpepper, Gautier, MS; Ray (Marie) Culpepper, Hiram, GA; and Tommy (Mary) Culpepper, Pascagoula, MS; a sister, Rita (Edward) Taylor, Orange Grove, MS; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Culpepper, Gautier, MS.
     His Funeral Services will be held this morning, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 11 AM, in Chapel of the George County Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Stokes and Rev. Jim Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow in the Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS. Brandon Stringfellow, Jonathan Culpepper, Jack Culpepper, Brad Culpepper, Gary Thornton, and Tim Cossey will serve as Pallbearers. George County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.2

Obituary*1 July 2010 Phyllis Easterwood Culpepper, of Augusta, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Keysville Nursing Home Tuesday, June 29, 2010. She was 81 years old.
     The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cokesbury United Methodist Church. The committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Sandy Heslop and Rev. Perry Shelford will officiate.
     Mrs. Culpepper was loved by all that knew her and was affectionately known as "Fe Fe" by her friends, family, church members and nursing home staff. She was the oldest of nine children and was like a mother or grandmother to so many over the years. She was active at Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
     She was preceded in death by her parents Marshall Alexander Easterwood and Alice Cason Easterwood, her brothers, Darrell Easterwood and Larry Easterwood all of Bremen, GA.
     Mrs. Culpepper is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles "Wren" Culpepper; her son, Chuck Culpepper (Rhonda); her daughter, Gail Webster (Lee) and her grandchildren, Chase Beazley, Whitney Webster, Beau Webster, Hannah Culpepper, and Holley Phillips (Steve); and her great grandchildren, Jackson Beazley, Drew Phillips and Ali Phillips.
     Memorials may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church 2005 Windsor Spring Road, Augusta, GA 30906 (706) 798-2954 or to the Alzheimer's Association of Augusta 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904 (706) 731-9060.
