     Mr. CULPEPPER was born March 28, 1908, in Talbot County, Georgia, son of Arthur and Mary BUSSEY CULPEPPER. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge of Talbot County.
     Survivors include five sons, John Jefferson CULPEPPER, James Thomas CULPEPPER, Arthur Joe CULPEPPER, Willie James CULPEPPER, Jr. and Willis George CULPEPPER; four daughters, Wylene BEECH, Fannie STEPHENS, and Dellie L. CULPEPPER, all of Atlanta, and Orlean COOK of Waverly Hall; a brother, the Rev. Gentle Lee CULPEPPER of San Bernardino, Calif; three sisters, Carrie BELL of Los Angeles, Jencie McCRORY and Mattie Mae THOMAS, both of Talbotton; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.2
