Obituary* | 16 December 2005 | Johnnie Jack Culpepper, 88, passed away December 14, 2005, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. A resident of Waverly Hall, GA, he came to Toledo to be cared for by his devoted and loving family, after the death of his wife, Clara Mae Culpepper, in April 2005. They shared a 59 year marriage at the time of her passing. Johnnie Jack was a woodworker at Reed's Chair Factory and cultivated a 40 acre farm in Georgia. He and his wife raised a family of 9 children, 1 of his grandchildren and 2 of his great-grandchildren. He and his wife shared many things in their long and happy life together. He was also a life time member of St. Paul CME Church in Shiloh, GA. He leaves to cherish his memory 4 sons, John C. of Toledo, Steve, Wilbur, Maurice (Sanya) Culpepper of Waverly Hall, GA; 5 daughters, Bettye, Mary F., Josephine, Catherine of Toledo and Bernell of Detroit, MI; 5 grandchildren, Michelle Clark, Stephanie, both of Toledo, Joey Culpepper of Bowling Green, OH, Steven (Malaika) Culpepper of Denver, CO and Sullivan Culpepper of Columbus, GA; 5 great-grandchildren, Moira, Janea, Jerry-Michael and Nola, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday 4-6 p.m. with wake services following 6 - 8 p.m. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. St. Paul CME Church in Shiloh, GA, with interment at the church.1 |
