The earliest burial in Bethany Cemetery, located in Section 19 of Battle Creek Township near Bethany Baptist church, is from 1871. A survey of the cemetery was filed 21 January 1893 with the Register of Deeds office. (Thanks to Cheryl Lepisto for this photo of the gates.)
