1561 Deeds Thomas ap John alias Taylor sold to Thomas ap Rice Howell.
1600 Deeds John ap Rees Powell Grono settled land and a water-mill on his son and heir-apparent Richard John ap Rees.
1603 Deeds Mary Powell, widow of John Powell, son of John Powell Llewellin, settled on their son William Powell all those lands purchased by John Powell from John Rees ap Howell Grono.
1619 Deeds This is when the house appears to have been built; this date with the letters I. P., for John Powell, is punched on the knocker of the back door, as well as cast in a leaden hopper under the roof, and in the hall it is in large figures in the plaster ceiling.
1661 Deeds John Powell sold to Thomas Morgan, William Jones and Richard John Powell..

1673 Bradney Thomas Powell, nephew of John Powell, the builder of Pool Hall appears in Blome's List of Gentry as 'of Pool-hale Gent'. He was the father of William Powell. His son, James, had a daughter Ann. William Powell's brother-in-law, John Tate, lived at Pool Hall until his and William's deaths.

1773 Memorials Samuel Watkins of Pool-hall, gent. died 7 Feb., aged 73.
1779 Wills John Watkins of Pool Hall, gent [younger son of Samuel Watkins].
1781 Memorials Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Watkins, died 28 Feb., aged 73.

c1787 Bradney Ann, daughter of James Powell, died without issue and left the estate to the family of a cousin, Rachel Turton. She, or her son Zouch Turton, sold Pool Hall towards the end of the eighteenth century to Richard Lee of Clytha. It passed to his daughter Mary, wife of John Jones. The property passed to one of their daughters as her marriage portion.
1801 Memorials William Watkins died 23 Apr., aged 53.
1823 Marriages Elizth Morgan, lodges as a servant at Pool Hall in this parish for over 6 months and is over 21 years of age.
1824 Memorials James James, late of great Pool Hall died 31 Jan, aged 77.
1830 Memorials Ann James the wife of James James, late of Great Poolhall died 12 Jan, aged 86.

1843 Ttithe survey George Jones was the occupier of 193 acres owned by Mrs Mary Jones. 

1848 Monmouthshire Beacon Pool Hall Estate advertised for sale

1848 Deeds Great Pool Hall Farm, in the occupation (as tenant) of widow [Mary] Jones, sold to Colonel John Francis Vaughan.

1848-1851 Bradney Colonel Vaughan of Courtfield resided at Pool Hall, which he left to his younger son Reginald Vaughan.
