The Lows are found in North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee in the mountains. We have found quite a bit of information about this line through the court records of Mc Minn County Tennessee. We find William Jacob Lowe with son William Jackson Low, who was born in 1844. William Jackson married Martha E. Benton, daughter of John F. Benton and Narcissa White, daughter of Elisha White and Margaret Barnett. William Jackson and Martha married in 1865, and their first child, Sally Narcissa, was born in Nashville Tennessee in 1866. From this we deduce that they were moving to Texas at this time, and that they arrived in late 1866 or early 1867. They lived in Fannin County, and there are some stories of lynching and threatened killings, but I will put them on William Jackson's page. In 1890 they were in Eastland County, where Elsie's dad was born in 1909. Around 1910 they moved on toward Menard County.
