RUTH ELLEN HAZELWOOD CANTRELL, 75, homemaker, retired insurance agent and former co-owner of Heath Insurance Agency, died Tuesday at Cross Ridge Community Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Earle First Assembly of God, where she was a member, with burial in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne. Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Cantrell, the wife of Wes Cantrell, also leaves two daughters, Carolyn Bisbee of Katy, Texas, and Debbie Love of Parkin; two sons, Bill Cantrell of Cantonment, Fla., and Steve Cantrell of Wynne; four sisters, Erma Gay Lake of Clarksville, Tenn., Peggy Berryman of Taylorsville, Ga., Dot Kimball of Port Orange, Fla., and Judy Ann Bolton of Humboldt, Tenn., five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. NONA DELL DAVIS, 89, of Harrisburg died Thursday, April 4, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg.  Born in Cross County, she was a retired factory worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg.  Survivors include four daughters, Mary Jane Davis of Fisher, Patricia Ann Smith of Pleasant Plains and Nona Fae Grojean and Sarah Elizabeth Davis, both of Bonham, Texas; three sons, Gordon Doyle Davis of Phoenix, Clifford Wayne Davis of Granbury, Texas, and John Sidney Davis of Bonham; two sisters, Hazel Burtcher of McRae and Margorie Chapman of Memphis; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two husbands, William L. Guthrie and Clifford Gordan Davis; her parents, Sidney Pilcher and Sarah Elizabeth Nabors Pilcher; one son, Buddy Guthrie; and one daughter, Betty Jean Guthrie.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery at Wynne Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

PATRICIA L. "PAT" ROCK ROGERS, 69, of Horseshoe Lake, formerly of Wynne, died Friday, Feb. 21, at her residence.  Born in Parkin, she had lived in Baton Rouge, La., for 20 years before moving back to Arkansas. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Horseshoe Lake and had worked as a store clerk and cashier for 40 years.   Survivors include four sons, Tom Belt of Slaughter, La., Billy Rogers of Walls, Miss., Jerry Rogers of Byhalia, Miss., and Jeff Curle of Horseshoe Lake; two daughters, Shirley Pickel of Horseshoe Lake and Rita Van Pelt of Conway; two brothers, Jerry Rock of Sibley, La., and Don Rock of Cleveland; one sister, Barbara Franks of Horseshoe Lake; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee and Helen Lucille Eldridge Rock, and one sister.   Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Wynne, with Keith Bomar and Don Rock officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery at Wynne.  Pallbearers will be Adrain Belt, Chris Belt, Tommy Belt, Danny Lunsford, Tyson Rogers, Randy Van Pelt and Robert Van Pelt.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

TROY LINDSEY SCOTT, age 75, of Widener, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003.  Mr. Scott was born June 14, 1927, in Wynne, the son of Virgil Scott and Alberta Boone Scott. He lived in Cross and St. Francis Counties for most of his life and was the owner-partner of Scott and Scott Construction. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.  Mr. Scott is survived by three sons, Bobby Scott of Armuchee, Ga., Jimmy Scott of Bryant and Terry Scott of Conway; three daughters, Brenda Munn of Forrest City, Linda Hogan of Jonesboro and Lisa Stevens of Forrest City; a stepdaughter, Teresa Brannon of Armuchee, Ga.; two sisters, Bobbie Spiedel and Peggy Eggleston both of Denver, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Visitation services for Mr. Scott will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2003, in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with burial following in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne.

JAMES 'OSCAR' SIDES, 84, retired heavy-equipment operator, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Forrest City. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home with burial in Harris Chapel Cemetery. He was a World War II Army veteran and a Baptist. Mr. Sides, the widower of Cora Mae Winters Sides, leaves three daughters, Barbara Eldridge and Ruth Hollis, both of Parkin, and Janie Parks of Little Rock; four sons, Don Sides, Eddie Sides and Carter Sides, all of Wynne, and Freddie Sides of Hayward, Calif.; three sisters, Wilma Meeks of Wynne, Catherine Hydrick of Greenville, Miss., and Mary Padgett of Baton Rouge; a brother, Robert Sides of Wynne, 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
