Election
of Coroner for Lauderdale County
to
fill the Unexpired Term of D. P. Steel, Resigned
This
day the court proceeded to elect a Coroner to fill the unexpired term of D. P.
Steel, resigned, when A. E. LUNSFORD, ESQ.,
was duly and legally elected and thereupon the said A. E.
LUNSFORD came into open court with George Johnston, S. A. Thompson,
F. Barfield and James Braden as his securities and entered into the following
bond, to wit;
We,
A. E. LUNSFORD, George Johnston, S. A.
Thompson, F. Barfield and James Braden bind ourselves in the penal sum of
Twenty Five Hundred Dollars ($2500.00) payable to the State of Tennessee, to be
void on condition the said A. E. LUNSFORD
this day inducted into the Coroner’s office of Lauderdale County, faithfully
discharges the duties of said office and promptly pays to the proper persons
all monies collected or received by him by virtue of his office.
