A.
This day, A. E. LUNSFORD, Coroner of Lauderdale County, presented to court his resignation as Coroner which was received by the court and the A. E. LUNSFORD be permitted to resign.
Whereupon the court proceeded to elect a Coroner to fill the vacancy, occasioned by the resignation of the said A. E. LUNSFORD, when F. Barfield was legally and duly elected Coroner of Lauderdale County, when the said F. Barfield came into open court with J. D. Roberson and J. S. Keller for his securities and entered into Bond in the sum of Twenty Five Hundred Dollars which bond is in the words and figures following, to wit;
We, Fred Barfield, J. D. Roberson and J. S. Keller obligated and bind ourselves in the penal sum of Twenty Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) payable to the State of Tennessee to be void on condition the said Fred Barfield, this day inducted into the office of Coroner for Lauderdale county, shall faithfully execute the duties of said office and promptly pay to the proper person all moneys collected in receipt by him by virtue of his office.
