1830 Ste Genevieve Co MO. Another researcher sent me papers saying that he had his estate adm inistered 28 Sep 1840 by Elliot his son..... George was the son of Thomas COFER...My ancesto r was a Rhoda COFER\COFFER who married Stephen HAM in 1782. I think she was a neice of Georg e's. She and her husband moved to Madison Co KY as did several of her Uncle's. I have not i dentified which brother was her uncle. Most of the COFER brothers were involved in the Rev W ar in some way. Jesse was a Capt in the KY Militia and married one of the BOONE girls. I ha ve Thomas' Will and Abstracts of lots of deeds that mention him. He was a farmer and merchant . ...Rhoda died before 1814 and most of the brothers died after that. ...The COFERS and HAM S were on my Father's side..my parents came from BUTLER Co MO....mentions ZOLLICOFER theory.
