OBITUARY:

Alberta B. Shock, 80, of Rockford, died Sunday November 4, 1990 at Van Wert County Hospital, where she had been a patiend since Tuesday. She was born October 26, 1910, in Centr Township, Mercer County, the daughter of Purn and Rhoda Newcomb Copeland. She was first married to David Pfost, who is deceased. In September of 1953 she married Harvey Shock, who died July 30, 1982. Mrs. Shock was homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Rockford. Survivors include one brother, Carl copeland of Celina; and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Frievod of Mendon, and Mrs. Mae Rogers of Sacramento, california. Preceding her in death were a son Michel Pfost, a brother, Robert, and three sisters, Nellie Miles, Grace Now, and Mary Foster. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, with Rev. Ray Daniel Jr. Officiating. Burial will be in Neptune Cemetery, Neptune. Friends may call 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
