The following came from a family Bible a nd the original was hand-written
by my Great Grandpa Denton [James]... his han dwriting was very unique,
calligraphy of sorts, and very distinctive-- when I was a little girl he
wrote me a poem in an autograph book I'd asked him to sig n-- how I wish I
still had it, but I can remember what he wrote:
"This was wr it by your Great Grand-Dad,
Who wasn't very good and wasn't very bad,
Who wis hes you always to have a good time,
You're a sweet little girl and I think you 're just fine."
This was very decorative- he used different colored pens. I pa rticulary
remember the red and blue colors.
