John may be the son of William Fowkes and Elizabeth Binks who were married in
Oundle 9 Dec 1694. As there are no christenings for the Henson or Fowkes fami-
lies, but mgs and burials in the Oundle register, it is quite possible they
were nonconformists, but there are no records applicable to this time and area.
John's daughter, Rebecca, is named as the niece of Edward Henson in his will &
bondsman on her marriage license. It seems likely that he is a brother of
her mother, although no proof has been found to substantiate this.
