Leona L. Carr, 81 of Rte 1, Willshire, died at 9:12 a.m. EST, Saturday, August 2, 1980, in Swiss Village Nursing Home, Berne, Indiana, following an extended illness. She was born onNovember 17, 1898, in Mercer County, a daughter of Theordore and Mary (Bollenbacher) Baker. Survivors include her husdand, Homer Carr; a son Leland Carr, of Paulding; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Humbert of Rte 1, Rockford; a sister, Mrs. Oscr (Marie) SChaadt of rural Rockford, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Mrs. Carr was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, in the church was the Rev. Gary Anderson officiatig. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery. Prefereed memorials are the the American Cancer Society.
