There is a report that her brother, Robert, who was born in 1802 came to the USA when he was 2, so it seems reasonable that the family came in 1804.
The same day Prudence married George Elliott the same justice of the Peace, Andrew Elliott, married a George Henderson and Jane Finley.
In the 1850 census of Mechanic Township, Holmes County, Ohio (page 164; Dwelling # 1116; Family #1137) there is George Elliott 56; and Prudence 58 both born in Ireland. The real estate is valued at $2,300 and George calls himself a farmer. The children living at home are Jane 22; Robert 21; Ellenor 19; Samuel 16.

In the book "History of Jefferson County" page 1028 there is a biography of William Elliott Henderson. This states that his grandfather, Robert bought Jefferson County land in this year for $1.75/ acre.

In the book, " Ohio Lands Steubenville Land Office 1800 - 1820" by Carol Bell is at the Hudson, Ohio library. This states the "a" Robert Henderson purchased land in Range 3; Township 11; Section 9 which is in Brush Creek Township, Jefferson County, Ohio. Brush Creek is about 15 miles north of Cross Creek Twp. ??????? This entry describes Robert as a resident of Jefferson County, Ohio. This is the only entry for a Robert Henderson but there are many other Henderson entries. I made these notes on 3/24/ 1995.
On 2/24/94 I visited the WRHS and examined the book, 'Pennsylvania in 1800'. There are 10 Robert Henderson's listed.
To get more information about the family on 2/24/94 I visited the WRHS and examined the book, 'Index to 1810 Census of Pennsylvania' by Ohio Family Historians. The book includes 6 Robert Henderson. There is one close to the Ohio border living in Chartiers Township Washington County, see census page 574.
At Western Reserve Historical Society the book, "The 1812 Census of Ohio" by T.L.C. Genealogy lists taxpayers. The list includes a Robert Henderson in Springfield Township Jefferson County, Ohio and another in Wheeling Township, Belmont County, Ohio.

His parents are Robert and Margaret White Henderson. Robert was born in Ireland in 1802 and came to the USA when he was 2 years old.
