license and bond between Thomas Rowlat, his brother, Samuel, then of
Great Gidding, Hunts, and John Hodgskin alias Hodgkin of Weldon, brother
of Elizabeth. There is also a transfer of land involved in the marriage
settlement. Thomas Rowlat, at that time, is listed as being of Brigstock.
Although the places are different, the verification that this is the
same Thomas who married Mary Burdit is found in the Admon dated 2 Nov 1728,
for Thomas Rowlatt, late of Brigstock, filed by Henry Burdett, uncle
and guardian of Thomas Rowlatt, ae 15, son of the deceased Thomas.
Will proved 8 Oct 1728 probably for this Thomas, of Corby, legacies to wife
Elizabeth, Daughters Mary, Sarah, Joane, sons Thomas and William.
