OBITUARY:
Mary M. Carr, 77 of Ohio City, died Thursday, December 13, 1990 in Van wert Cunty Hospital. She was born July 9, 1913, in Tama, Ohio, a daughter of James and bessie (Gordon) Searight. On October 7, 1930, she married Thurman Carr, and he survives. Other survivors include three sons, Jim of Pico Reveria, California,; Bill of Ohio City; and Fred of Hillsboro, MO; eight daughters, Mrs. Marshall (Marjorie) Hicks, Fairfax, Va; Mary Riley of Ohio City; Mrs. Charles (June) Chilcote, Wittier, Calif; Mrs. Fred (leona) Parks of Van Wert; Mrs. Sandra Zeigler of Ohio City and Mrs. Robert (Janet) Dawson of Convoy; three brothers, Forest Searight of St. Cloud, Fla; Lee and Fred Searight of Celina; 29 grandchildren,; 25 great-grandchildren and 23 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Dean; two brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Monday in the ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home of Rockford with the Rev. Brad Adam officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
