A cousin Mathias Staudt a nd Johannes Staudt, suppolsedly a brother came with him. He was naturalized on April 10, 1761. In 1773 he became the guardian of Johannes Staudt's children.
He owned more than 180 acres near Stoudt's Ferry Bridge, on west bank of "G reat Bend" in the Scherydkill River. The home passed out of family hands for t he first time about 1900; was a fruit farm in 1944.
