However a Gretton Court Roll entry at the death of her h usband, Robert, in 1689, seems to indicate that Elizabeth is still living in 1689. There are other christenings in the 1590s for children of Geo rge Tayleby and William Tayleby. There is a land transfer in 1593 from Simon Tayleby and wif e Elizabeth to his son Martin, possibly the Martin chr in 1563. It is possible our Martin i s the son of Martin, son of Simon. More research being done. A John Tayleby, son of Martin, a lso received land from his father Martin in 1593 and could be this Martin's father.
