I believe that the whloe Taylor family who were old enough were baptized
10 Sep 1832. Donald Miller believed that the family were converted when the
Zion's Camp stayed at the Salt River in June 1834, but when that camp reached
Missouri and the Salt River Branch of the Church there were already two branches
of the Church. The one at the Allred settlement or the Salt River settlement,
and the other at Bowling Green, Missouri. The Allred family all recorded their
baptism dates as 10 Sep 1832 and I see no reason to believe tht the Taylors
were not baptized that same day. There were as many as 17 people baptized at
that time. But we cannot prove it. But we do know they were already members
in June 1834. Note Robert McCord was married 20 May 1834 and he died at the
Little Fishing River camp 24 June 1834. He had gone along with the Zion's
Camp when they left the Allred Settlement.
William Warren Taylor and Julia Aner Carbine were probably married at
Ft. Brigham, but I have never been able to locate any marriage date for them.
She was living with her cousin Isaac Chauncey Haight on Shepherd's Lane in
kaysville just prior to their marriage, and it is possible that they were
married in that home. Parents: Joseph TAYLOR and Sarah BEST.

Zilpha Elizabeth's father was Louis H. Taylor born July 16, 1817, NC., deceased January 9, 1892, Decatur County, TN. Interred Yellow Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, that county.
Her mother was Sabrey M., maiden name unknown, born about 1825 TN. Her date of death is unknown, but she is likely buried by her husband Louis with no headstone.
Her family is first identified in the 1850 Census of Hickman County, KY. By 1860 the family has moved to Carroll County, TN., and by 1870 to Decatur County, TN.
Her siblings are identified as follows:
1. William B. born about 1843, KY. He is still in the family in 1860 in Carroll County, but not found there after. May have perished in the Civil War?
2. Zilpha Elizabeth born May 10, 1844 Hickman County, KY. Her history covered.
3. Mary Ann born about 1845 Hickman County, KY. Still in the home in 1860 and 1870. She married James
L. Gullege February 5, 1875 in Decatur County, TN at about the age of 30 years. It is believed that he deceased and that she remarried Milton B. Renfro March 5, 1877, not proven.
4. Susan e. born about 1848 KY. Not in family 1860. Likely deceased young.
5. Hugh B. born about 1850 KY. Still in family 1860. Married Jenny Evans September 5, 1870, Decatur County, TN. In 1880 he and wife have children M. A. (female) age 6, son W. H. age 3.
6. James Ely born about 1852 Carroll County, TN. Still in home in 1860 and 1870. He married Ciss Maxwell January 7, 1880 Decatur County, TN. He 28 and she 18 living with parents. It is believed that
he married once or twice more, but not proven.
7. Henry C. born about 1854 Carroll County, TN. Still in the home in 1860 and 1870. He married Nancy J. Bailey December 11, 1876 Decatur County, TN. In 1880 the family is living in Benton County, TN and listed as follows: H. C. 22, Nancy 27, James W. age 2, Alvis 6 Mo., Sarah Bailey 32 S/L

Louis and Sabrey last found in the 1880 Census of Decatur County, TN.
After Whitley Allen and Zilpha moved tp Clay County, AR., Zilpha never saw her parents or siblings again, but she corresponded with some of her sisters for several years. She always expressed a desire to see them again, but never had the oppurtunity. This writer had copies of some of the correspondence between her and her sisters, but it has been lost or misplaced over the years. She was a great lady, kind and sensitive to all who knew her. Hopefully, some of her descendants will in future years research her family line. It is fairly certain that families of her siblings still reside in the Decatur County, TN .
