While no chr has been found for Martin, it seems probable that he was the
son of Robert and Elizabeth, inasmuch as Martin is an uncommon given name,
but is Elizabeth's father's name, and it would seem likely they would have
a son with this name. There is a gap between 1652 and 1656 during which
time he could have been born. The P.R. has been rechecked for this time and
still no chr has been found.

sisters, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Mary, appear to have moved from Islip to
Kings Cliff, being ages 16, 10, and 8. We do not know the circumstances
under which they lived, but each had two illegitimate children before
finally marrying, and dying in Kings Cliff.
1851 Census Mary gives birthplace as Islip, she is also listed as being
deaf.

While there is still no hard evidence that the Robert Butterwick chr in
1629 in Kings Cliffe is the same Robert Butterworth md in 1648 in Gretton,
there was another family of Butterwick's in Gretton who during this same
time period changed their name to Butterworth. Also a search (as of Aug
1986) has not found any evidence to conflict with the family as grouped.
