OBITUARY:
Thurman Dean Carr, was the son of Thurman and Mary Marguerite Searight carr. He was born in Blackcreek Township, Mercer county, Ohio. His body has been removed to the Cowan Funeral Home at Ohio city and funeral srvices are planned for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Ohio City Church of God, the Rev. Royal Kear will officiate and burial will be made in Woodland Cemetery at Ohio City. With the parents he is survived by three brothers and eight sisters; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Searight of Rockford, and paternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Loren Carr of north of Rockford. Thurman Dean Carr, 12 years old died Sunday July 11, 1954. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Ohio City Church of God, Rev. Royal Kear, pastor to officiate. Burial well be in Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Burial will be in charge of the Cowan and Sons Funeral Home. Thurman Dean Carr was born October 16, 1941 in Blackcreek Township, Mercer County and he came to Ohio City whena baby. He would have a pupil in the sixth grade of Liluty School the coming year. Thurman Dean Carr, 12, died Sunday July 11, 1954, burned to death in a truck and car crash at 5:40 a.m. Surviving with the parents are three brothers, James, who is in the Navy at Kingsville, Texas; and Willian and Fred at home; and eight sisters, Mary, Leona, Helen, Patsy, Sandra, and Janet all at home, Mrs. charles Chilcote of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. Marshall Hicks of Monroe, Michigan, his grandmother Bessie Searight of Rockford and the grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Loren Carr of R R Rockford. OBITUARY:
William Carr, son of Reuben and Hulda Carr was born in Allen County, Ohio, April 7, 1855, and departed this life at the home of his son in Rockford, Ohio, January 13, 1937, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 6 days. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Mercer County, where he lived the rest of his life. He was converted and joined the centenary United Brethren Church when a young man, later when services were discontinued there he and his wife moved their membership to the Bethel U. B. Church where he remained a faithful and devoted member until the Lord called him home. He wa united in marriage to Miss Zerado North on march 28, 1880. To this union were born six children, the mother and two children preceded him to the spirit world. Brother carr was a jovial disposition always bearing his troubles with a smile. Many times during his sickness he would sing and pray, always had a ringing testimony for his Savior. A few weeks ago he experiences a great blessing while they were singing over the radio "When We All Get To Heaven". Brother Carr will be greatly missed by the family, the Church, and especially in the home of his brother Jess, where for several years they had enjoyed life together. Those left to mourn his goiing are the two daughters, Mrs. M. O. Purdy, Rockford; Mrs. Floyd Vining, Buckley MI., Two sons, Loren Carr, Rockford; Orval Carr, Berne, IN; Two brothers, Jess and W. U. Carr both are of Blackcreek Township, one sister, Mrs. L. E. Pifer, London, Tennessee; also 8 grandchildren and 7 great-=grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from the Bethel U.B. Church, Friday afternoon in charge of the Pastor Rev. E. E. Bragg, assisted by Rev. Walter Purdy, Rev. P. W. Lutz, and Rev. Radcliff. Burial in Bethel Cemetery. Parents: Reuben R. CARR and Huldah Ann SHOCK.

OBITUARY:
William Thomas carr, little son of Loren and Zelma, of near Geneva, Ind., was born October 19, 1912, and was called to his reward Thursday morning, January 16, 1913, after an illness of but one week with bronchial pneumonia, at the early age of three days less than three months. Little Willie has always been an invalid. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by his parents and others who cared for him. He leaves, father, mother, a little brother, Thurman, four grandparents, and a host of other relatives to wourn their loss, bt what will be their loss will be his eternal gain. A precious one from us has gone. A voice we loved is stilled. A vacant place in our home, that can never be filled. God in is wisdom that recalled, the one to us was given, and though his bod slumbes, still his soul is safe in Heaven. A short srvice at the home at 9:00 a.m. and funeral at the Bethel Church in Mercer county, Ohio, at 12:00 p.m. by Rev. B. F. Aspy, of Eaton. Interment in the Cemetery at the Church.
