After a reception at her father's hous e, they left for their honeymoon on the 7:00 p.m. train, intending to visit the principal cit ies of the eastern seaboard and be absent for about three weeks.

(9) 1911, 21 Dec: In the final distribution of the estate of George Ament, absentee, his as sets were listed as $455, paid in a partition suit brought by Judith D. Davidson vs. Mary Sey mour et al, plus interest. Only heirs were his sisters, Judith D. Davidson, Mary A. Seymour , Madge B. Ament, Irene __, and two brothers, Charles Ament and Hugh Cecil Ament, the latte r under guardianship as a person of unsound mind. The shares of Charles Ament and Irene __ we re assigned to Judith D. Davidson.
(12) 1924, 11 Feb: Living at 112 Magnolia St., Muscatine, IA. Celebrating her 50th weddin g anniversary. A dinner party was being held at their home in honor of the occasion.
(7) 1931, 22 Jul: Her husband left her all the furniture, household goods and effects and p ersonal belongings used and kept in their home, and $100 monthly during her life.
(11) 1931, 26 Jun: Her son Drew wrote, "Mother is feeling the heat and her loneliness a gre at deal. Helen is with her and taking good care of her but we are certainly having difficult y in deciding what is the best to be done. Mother could not stay alone in the house. She is s et against having anyone with her. Helen of course cannot stay more than a few weeks at most . Aunt Ella is too poor in health to come live with mother. Ida and I would like to have her , but she wants quiet and does not like small children. Fred would like to have her but she d oesn't want to go there."
(12) 1935, 26 Feb: Of Muscatine, IA. Visited Palmyra, MO, where she had been born and spen t her childhood. It was her first visit since she had gone to school there more than 65 year s before.
(4,7) 1940: Moved to Wichita Falls, TX about a year before her death to be with her daughte r Helen, whose husband was stationed there. She died while there.
(4) Described by granddaughter Carolyn Davidson Carey as "a very sweet but VERY stubborn ga l. Unfortuneately my memories of her were confined to the visits we made to Muscatine almos t every time we crossed the continent to a new assignment (every two or three years) and to t he time that she came to stay with us in Coronado which was when she was ill and fiesty."
