He married Thurze Parton on 22 April 1878 at St George, Bloomsbury, London, England; and their marriage was recorded at St Giles Registration district in the June quarter 1878. He was a 22 year old Locksmith and Bellhanger and she was aged 23. They gave an address of 25 Kenton Street and the service took place after Banns were called.4,5

     Kenneth John Simons was born on 23 May 1892 at Hampstead, London, England; and his birth was registered in the March quarter 1892 at Hampstead Registration district.1,2 He was the son of Charles Morris Simons and Minnie Dora Phillips.1 Kenneth John Simons appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at Hampstead, London, England, as Son, age 9, born Hampstead, London.3,1 He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 22 Canfield Gardens, Hampstead, London, England, as Son, age 19, birthplace Hampstead, and he was an Assistant Fruit Broker.4 He married Edith Stella Debra Bennett on 29 October 1913 at Kensington Registry Office, Kensington, London, England; and their marriage was recorded at Kensington Registration district in the December quarter 1913.5,6 Kenneth John Simons and Edith Stella Debra Bennett were recorded sailing on the SS Arabic sailing from Liverpool, England. He was a Clerk, age 22, and she was a Housewife, age 21; they had been living in Ipswich and gave her Father's address as John Bennett, 30 Devonshire Road, Back Hamlet, Ipswich, Suffolk, arriving on 17 April 1914 at Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.7 Kenneth John Simons was recorded as serving in the Great War [WWI] and The National Archives contain his British Army Medal Card and Service Record dated 1916 giving his regimental number as Private 5874, address 30 Devonshire Road, Ipswich, age 24 years and 1 month, he was a 'Wholesale Man', height 5 foot 8 inches with an appendicitis operation scar. His wife and next of kin was Edith Simons, 22 Canfield Gardens, Hampstead, London. He was discharged on 9 November 1918 from the Labour Corps Eastern Command Labour Centre (late London Regiment), with a 5s 6d pension to be reviewed in 13 weeks from 10 November 1918, because of Neurasthenia.6

He and Edith Stella Debra Bennett were divorced in 1918; and The National Archives contain Divorce Court File 2091: 'Appellant Kenneth John Simons. Respondent Edith Stella Debra Simons. Co-respondent Roger Norman Liptrot. Husband's petition for divorce.8,9' Kenneth John Simons sailed on the SS Tunisian to Quebec, Canada, age 28, divorced, occupation Merchant, intending to be a Fruit Farmer, able to read and write in English and French, passage paid for by his father, with an employer in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, arriving on 28 May 1920.8 He married Constance Barbara Tonge on 29 September 1926 at Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and their marriage was by licence. Constance Barbard Tonge was a Spinster, age 40, birthplace Cheshire, England, daughter of James Tonge and Elizabeth Jane Carr. 'Kenneth John Limons' was a 34 year old Bachelor, birthplace London, England, son of Charles Morris and Minnie Phillips.2,10,11 Kenneth John Simons died on 24 November 1965 at Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada, at age 73; and his death was recorded in British Columbia and his birthplace was recorded as Glasgow, Scotland.12,2
