St Peter's church Ash state the following :- Making your way up the aisle towards the Old Chancel you will see the only memorial remaining in the floor has been worn to almost total illegibility. It used to read: "Here lieth the body of Henry Slyfield of April, 1732, aged 71 years".1,5,6
