     Richard Young was born circa 1685.1 He married Grace Goring on 15 June 1708 at Elveltham, Hampshire, England.2 Richard Young was recorded as a Taylor of Goldsworth between 6 June 1709 and 9 May 1714.1 He left a will on 7 September 1739; Richard Young of Chobham, somewhat infirm 7 September 1739 to wife Ann for life my best bed, and bedstead and its trappings and best pair of flaxen sheets, pair of town sheets and chest of drawers, a looking glass over them, a trunck and all the fowl paying for the barly owing at my death and for the bees; wife and two sons Richard and John to enjoy them as me and clock and case being son John's he to take same away; to my son John £5 six months after death of his uncle John Tuckhurst if said John does not leave him £20 - if he does 2s 6d only; son Edward 1s; I have £10 of son John's to make up £25 which I have placed at interest - son John to have immediately; to wife freehold messuage and orchard in Chobham in occupation of Henry Hooker for life and then to son Richard; residue to son Richard exec.

Proven 3 Jan 1739.3 He died before 15 December 1739.4 He was buried on 15 December 1739 at Chobham, Surrey, England.4
