     Frederick Arthur Ramsey was born on 30 April 1864 at Great Burstead, Essex, England; and his birth was recorded at Billericay Registration district in the June quarter1864.^1,2,3 He was the son of George Ramsey and Sarah Philbrick.¹ Frederick Arthur Ramsey appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at High Street, Great Burstead, Essex, England, as Son, age 6, birthplace Great Burstead, Essex.¹ He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at High Street, Great Burstead, Essex, England, as Son, age 16, birthplace Great Burstead, Essex, and he was a Grocer.⁴ He married Ada Mary Wheeler in 1888 at Essex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Billericay Registration district in the September quarter 1888.⁵ Frederick Arthur Ramsey appeared on the census of 5 April 1891 at High Street, Great Burstead, Essex, England, as Head, age 26, married, birthplace Billericay, Essex, and he was employed as a Hair Dresser and Postman?⁶ He was listed in Kelly's Directory of Essex, 1894 as Hair dresser in Billericay.⁷ He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at High Street, Great Burstead, Essex, England, as Head, age 36, married, birthplace Billericay, Essex, and he was employed as a Hair Dresser and Town Postman.⁸ He was listed in Kelly's Directory of Essex, 1902 as Hair dresser in Billericay.⁹ He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at High Street, Billericay, Essex, England, as Head, married, age 46, birthplace Billericay, Essex, and he worked as the Town Postman. His wife and daughter Nellie Frances Ramsey completed the household.¹⁰ He was listed in Kelly's Directory of Essex, 1914 as in the 1902 edition in 1914.¹¹ He and Ada Mary Wheeler lived on 14 June 1919 at High Street, Billericay, Essex, England; with their daughter Nellie Frances Carter when Frederick Arthur Ramsey completed a Statement after their son Arthur Frederick Ramsey had been killed in action on 15 September 1916 in the British Army during the Great War.¹² Frederick Arthur Ramsey was photographed dressed in his Postman's Uniform in 1920 at Billericay, Essex, England.¹³ He died on 14 October 1927 at Essex, England, at age 63; and his death was recorded at Billericay Registration district, in the December quarter 1927.^14,3

     Phillip Chalcraft was born circa 1816. He married Mary Baigeant, daughter of Joseph Baigeant and Ann Collyer, on 2 January 1842 at St Luke, Chelsea, Middlesex, England.¹ Phillip Chalcraft died in 1843; and his death was recorded at St Georges Hanover Square record office in the September quarter 1843.²
