     John Slyfield was born on 25 December 1775 at Chobham, Surrey, England.1,2 He was christened on 25 December 1775 at St Lawrence, Chobham, Surrey, England.3,4 He was the son of John Slyfield and Ann Bonsey.1 John Slyfield married Jane Eliot on 5 March 1794 at Horsell, Surrey, England; OTP.1,5,6 John Slyfield was a Churchwarden at Wokingham Parish Church. He signed the records the year his first cousin, James Slyfield was married in the church and the reverse happened the next year after 12 December 1801.7,8 He married Elizabeth Shefford, daughter of Thomas Shefford and Jane Toby, on 25 November 1802 at Wokingham, Berkshire, England.9 John Slyfield married Rebecca Braby on 22 April 1826 at St Mary, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England.10,11 John Slyfield appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at Ripley, Surrey, England, as head, age 76, birthplace Chobham, Surrey.12 He died before 10 April 1855; and his death was recorded at Guildford record office in the June quarter 1855.13 He was buried on 10 April 1855 at St Mary, Ripley, Surrey, England.14
