On the outskirts there is a crucifix at the side of the main road, turn right here towards Allouagne. After approximately 500 metres there is a track on the left hand side (the Cemetery is signposted here) and the Cemetery can be found on the left hand side, approximately 500 metres, along this track.
Historical Information: The first burials were made in Plot I of the cemetery in September 1915, but it was most heavily used during the Battle of Arras, which began in April 1917. The dead were brought to the cemetery from casualty clearing stations, chiefly the 18th and the 23rd at Lapugnoy and Lozinghem, but between May and August 1918 the cemetery was used by fighting units. Lapugnoy Military Cemetery contains 1,323 Commonwealth burials of the First World War and 11 from the Second World War, all dating from May 1940. The cemetery was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

He lived on 29 September 1939 at B6 Kenilworth Court, Hagley Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; where he was on the 1939 Register.¹⁵ He was included in the will of his father made in 1927 and who died in 1941.⁴ He died in 1948 at Warwickshire, England; and his death was recorded at Birmingham Registration district in the June quarter 1948.¹⁶

     William Hedgecock was born circa 1730.¹ He married Mary Shier, daughter of John Shier and Mary Bludworth, on 28 September 1755 at Worplesdon, Surrey, England.¹

     John Shier was born circa 1705.¹ He married Mary Bludworth, daughter of James Bludworth and Ann (?), on 16 January 1727 at Worplesdon, Surrey, England.¹

      Her married name was Shier.¹ Mary Bludworth was christened on 5 June 1704 at Worplesdon, Surrey, England.^1,2 As of 5 June 1704, Mary Bludworth was also known as Mary Bladworth.² She was the daughter of James Bludworth and Ann (?).² Mary Bludworth married John Shier on 16 January 1727 at Worplesdon, Surrey, England.¹

     Thomas Benjamin Caton was born on 8 February 1908 at London, England; and his birth was recorded at Shoreditch registration office in the March quarter 1908.^2,3 He married Gladys Irene Sleet, daughter of John Edward Sleet and Florence Hannah Elizabeth Leggett, in 1932 at London, England; and their marriage was recorded at Camberwll registration office in the December quarter 1932.¹ Thomas Benjamin Caton died in September 1996 at Sussex, England, at age 88; and his death was recorded at Chichester registration office in September 1996.³

     James Bludworth was born circa 1680.¹ He married Ann (?) circa 1700.¹ James Bludworth died before 2 April 1756 at Worplesdon, Surrey, England.²

     Colin Thomas Caton was born in 1934 at London, England; and his birth was recorded at Camberwell registration office in the June quarter 1934.¹ He was the son of Thomas Benjamin Caton and Gladys Irene Sleet.¹

      Her married name was Phillips.
