      Charles Albert Moth was also known as Charlie A Moth.¹ He was born on 3 July 1879 at Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England; and his birth was recorded at Cowes, Isle of Wight, Registration district in the September quarter 1879. The Royal Navy vessel was a Cruiser and the Station was Training Squadron.¹⁰ He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at Cross Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England, as Charlie Moth, Son, age 32, 'married', birthplace Cowes, Isle of Wight, and he was a Dock Labourer at a Ship Builders. His parents, two siblings and Rose Moth, Daughter-in-law to the Head completed the household.¹¹ He married Mabel May Collins, daughter of Eli Collins and Elizabeth Westbrook, in 1915 at Hampshire, England; and their marriage was recorded at Portsmouth Registration district in the March quarter 1915, and indexed as Mabel M Collins and Charlie A Moth.³

Charles Albert Moth died before 22 December 1940; when his widowed Wife died as a result of enemy action in World War II in Portsmouth.¹²

     George E Couldrey was born circa 1889. He married Annie Gale, daughter of George Gale and Jane Sleet, in 1916; and their marriage was recorded at Chertsey record office in the June quarter 1916.¹

      Her married name was Benton.³ Gwendoline Elizabeth Judd was born on 21 July 1914 at Middlesex, England; and her birth was recorded at Brentford Registration district in the September quarter 1914.^1,4 She was the daughter of Albert Richard Judd and Caroline Richardson.¹ Gwendoline Elizabeth Judd was baptized on 11 October 1914 at St Paul, Northfields, Ealing, Middlesex, England.⁵ She appeared on the census of 19 June 1921 at Ealing, Middlesex, England, as born at Ealing, Middlesex, England, in 1914.⁶ She married Francis John Benton in 1936 at Middlesex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Brentford Registration district in the June quarter 1936.³ Gwendoline Elizabeth Judd and Francis John Benton lived on 29 September 1939 at Meadowcroft Road, Reading, Berkshire, England; where they were on the 1939 Register, when he was a Railway Clerk.⁷ Gwendoline Elizabeth Judd died in 2001 at Dorset, England; and her death was recorded at Poole Registration district in January 2001.²

His parents and three siblings completed the household.⁸ He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 7 Hartfield Crescent, Wimbledon, Surrey, England, as Son, age 14, birthplace Wimbledon, Surrey. His parents and two siblings completed the household, occupation Butcher.⁹ He married Florence Gertrude Judd, daughter of Albert Edward Judd and Elizabeth Hayward, on 26 September 1915 at St Paul, Northfields, Ealing, Middlesex, England; and their marriage after Banns were read was recorded at Brentford Registrtion district in the September quarter 1915. John Abraham Lewis was a Butcher, son of John Lewis, Carpenter, and Florence Gertrude Judd was a Spinster, daughter of Albert Edward Judd, Pastry Cook; their address was given as 24 Haslemere Avenue, Ealing.^1,10 John Abraham Lewis was recorded by the Imperial War Museum during the Great War [1914-1918] in the Air Force (RAF/RFC), Service #245586. He enlisted as a Butcher, married to Florence Lewis in 1918.¹¹ He was recorded on UK, Royal Navy Registers of Seamen's Services, on the President ll, Service number: F45586, birthplace Wimbledon, Surrey between 7 January 1918 and 31 March 1918.⁴ He appeared on the census of 19 June 1921 at Ealing, Middlesex, England, as born at Wimbledon, Surrey, England, in 1887.¹² He and Florence Gertrude Judd lived on 29 September 1939 at Surrey, England; where they were on the 1939 Register in the Epsom and Ewell area, when he was a Master Butcher and Shop Keeper.⁵ John Abraham Lewis died on 8 June 1965 at Epsom District Hospital, Epsom, Surrey, England, at age 79; and his death was recorded at Surrey Mid-Eastern Registration district in the June quarter 1965.^13,14 His estate was probated on 27 July 1965; and he was described as 'Lewis John Abraham otherwise John of 317 London Road, Ewell, Surrey' and Probate was granted 'to Leslie Ralph Jefford accountant.¹⁴'

     Mervyn Ritchie Stonard was born on 4 March 1940; and his birth was recorded at Surrey S W record office in the March quarter 1940.^1,2 He was the son of William Richie George Stonard and Lois Margaret Allen.¹ Mervyn Ritchie Stonard died in 2013.³

     Isaac Gosden was christened on 22 February 1795 at Chobham, Surrey, England; there are two Isaac Gosden Baptised in February, one on 22nd and one on 26th, both have parents Isaac and Sarah Gosden.¹ He was the son of Isaac Gosden and Sarah Saunders.^2,1 Isaac Gosden married Jane Godfrey on 17 October 1818 at Chobham, Surrey, England.^1,3 Isaac Gosden appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at Chobham, Surrey, England, as age 56, birthploace Chobham, Surrey.⁴

      Her married name was Gosden.¹ Jane Godfrey was born circa 1798.¹ She married Isaac Gosden, son of Isaac Gosden and Sarah Saunders, on 17 October 1818 at Chobham, Surrey, England.^1,2 Jane Godfrey appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at Chobham, Surrey, England, as age 53, birthplace Chobham, Surrey.³

      Her married name was Hone.¹ Eleanor Florence Horswill was born on 8 March 1907.² She married Reginald Frank Hone, son of John Hone and Lydia Lily Croucher, in 1930; and their marriage was recorded at Plymouth record office in the June quarter 1930.¹ Eleanor Florence Horswill died in 1984; and her death was recorded at Plymouth record office in May 1984.²

     Reginald Hone was born on 4 November 1899 at East Molesey, Surrey, England; and his birth was recorded at Kingston Registration office in the March quarter 1900.^1,2,3 He was the son of William Hone and Sarah Cheeseman.¹ Reginald Hone appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at East Molesey, Surrey, England, as Son, age 1, birthplace East Molesey, Surrey.¹ He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at Lawton Villas, Langton Road, East Molesey, Surrey, England, as son, age 11, birthplace Molesey, Surrey.⁴ He died in 1969 at London, England; and his death was recorded at Hounslow Registration office in the December quarter 1969.³

     Isaac Gosden was born circa 1770.¹ He married Sarah Saunders on 10 September 1792 at Chobham, Surrey, England.² Isaac Gosden left a will on 10 February 1842; This is the last Will and Testament of me Isaac Gosden of the Parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer as follows (that is to say) I give and devise unto my Son Isaac Gosden and his heirs all those my copyhold pieces or parcels of land containing about nine acres situate lying and being within and held of the Manor of Bisley in the said county of Surrey and now in my own occupation To hold the same with the appurtenances unto my said Son Isaac Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever at the Will of the Lord and according to the custom of the said manor of Bisley subject nevertheless to the payment of the Mortgage debt or sum of One hundred and fifty pounds now due and owing from me to James Lipscomb on a mortgage thereof together with all interest which may be due thereon at my death and I direct that the said sum of one hundred and fifty pounds and interest shall be charged on my said Copyhold Estate exclusively and in exoneration of my personal and all other my Estates And also subject to and I do hereby charge the same with the payment of one annuity or clear yearly sum of Four pounds and ten shillings unto my Wife Sarah Gosden and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life by two equal half with the appurtenances unto my said Son William Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever subject nevertheless to and I do hereby charge the same with the payment of one annuity or clear yearly sum of four pounds unto my said Wife Sarah Gosden and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life by two equal half yearly payments the first payment thereof to commence and be made at the end of six calendar Months next after my decease and a proportionate part thereof to be paid up to the day of her death and I also give devise and bequeath the said annuity or yearly sum of four pounds unto shall sem best for the most money that can be reasonably obtained for the same And I do hereby declare that it shall be lawful for the said Isaac Gosden and William Gosden and the Survivor of them and the heirs and assigns of such Survivor on any such sale or sales to make any stipulations as to the title to be produced to the same or any part thereof and to buy in the same or any part thereof and to alter or rescind any contract for the sale thereof or any part thereof and to resell the same without being liable for any loss to be occasioned thereby And also do and shall make execute and prefest all necessary or proper Deeds Writings Contracts and assurances for the purpose of vesting the same in any purchase or purchases thereof or in such purchaser or purchasers thereof or in such person or persons as he she or they shall direct or appoint And I hereby declare and direct that the receipt or receipts of the said Isaac Gosden and William Gosden or of the Survivor of them or of the heirs and assigns of such Survivor shall be a good valid and sufficient acquittance and discharge or good valid and sufficient acquittances and discharges for all or any monies payable to them or him under the trusts of this my Will and that no Purchaser or Purchasers or other person or persons after obtaining such receipt or receipts shall be obliged to see to the application or be answerable for the misappliaction or nonapplication of such purchase money or any part thereof And I do hereby further will and direct that the said Isaac Gosden and William Gosden and the Survivor of them and the Executors and administrators of such Survivor do and shall stand possessed of and interested in the money to arise by such sale or Sales In trust to pay retain and divide the sameunto amongst and between my Sons James Gosden Isaac Gosden William Gosden John Gosden and Daniel Gosden their Executors Administrators and Assigns in equal shares and proportions as tenants in common I give and bequeath unto my said Wife Sarah Gosden the sum of twenty five pounds for her absolute use and benefit and I give and bequeath unto my said Wife Sarah Gosden the use and enjoyment of all my Household Goods and furniture Plate Linen and China which shall be in and about my dwellinghouse at the time of my death during the term of her natural life she signing an Inventory thereof to be deposited with my Executors hereinafter named and after her decease I direct the same to be disposed of as part of the residue of my Personal Estate I give and bequeath unto my Son James Gosden Two Cows one cart horse and ten Lamb ??? which are now or are about to be placed by me on the farm in my occupation called Frees and also all my hay or straw growing and other crops stock implements of husbandry and other effects of the like sort and kind which shall be in upon or about the said Farm called Frees situate in the said Parish of Chobham and which I now rent of Mr Henry Edmead to and for his absolute use and benefit I also give and bequeath unto my said Son James Gosden the sum of one hundred pounds for his absolute use and benefit and I direct the same to be paid him by my Executors hereinafter named within six months next after my decease I give and bequeath unto my said Son John Gosden all and singular my live and dead stock growing and other my Implements of husbandry and other effects of the like sort and kind being at my death in upon and about the farm in my occupation called Bullrouzen situate in the said Parishes of Bisley and Chobham and which I hold under Lease from Mr James Street to and for his absolute use and benefit I give and bequeath unto my said Son Daniel Gosden the sum of one hundred pounds now due from him to me together with all interest which at my death shall be due thereon for his absolute use and benefit subject nevertheless to and I do hereby charge the same with the payment of one annuity or clear yearly sum of five pounds unto my said Wife Sarah Gosden and her assigns during the term of her natural life by two equal half yearly payments the first payment thereof to commence and be made at the end of six calendar months next after my decease and a proportionate part thereof to be paid up to her death and I give and bequeath the said annuity or yearly sum of five pounds unto my said Wife Sarah Gosden and her assigns accordingly I give and bequeath all and singular the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever unto the said Isaac Gosden and William Gosden their executors administrators and assigns upon trust to convert into money the residue of my said personal estate or such parts thereof as shall not consist of money
And I hereby declare and direct that the said Isaac Gosden and William Gosden and the Survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of such survivor shall stand and be possessed of the money to arise or be produced from that part of my said personal Estate which I have directed to be converted into money and of the monies I may be entitled to at the time of my decease Upon trust that they the said Isaac Gosden and William Gosden and the Survivor of the and the Executors and Administrators of such survivor do and shall by with and out of the same pay my just debts (except the said mortgage debt of one hundred and fifty pounds and interest) together with my funeral and testamentary expenses and the legacies hereinbefore bequeathed And do and shall lay out and invest the surplus or residue thereof in their or his names or name in the purchase of a competent share or competent shares of any of the Parliamentary Stocks or Public funds of Great Britain or at interest upon Government or real securities in England or Wales to be from time to time altered varied and transferred into or for other stocks funds or securities of the like nature at their or his discretion And do and shall stand and be possessed of and interested in the said trust moneys stocks funds and securities Upon a trust that they my said Trustees and the Survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of such survivor do and shall pay the interest dividends and annual produce thereof unto or permit the same to be received by my said Wife Sarah Gosden and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease do and shall stand and be possessed of and interested in the said Trust moneys stocks funds and securities and the dividends interest and annual produce thereof Upon trust to pay retain and divide the same unto amongst and between my said Sons James Gosden Isaac Gosden William Gosden John Gosden and Daniel Gosden and my said Daughter
Elizabeth Nokes their heirs Executors administrators and assigns in equal shares and proportions as tenants in common And I do hereby declare that the provision hereby made for my said Wife Sarah Gosden shall be by her taken in lieu and satisfaction of all dower and thirds at common law or by custom or otherwise which she might otherwise have claim or demand in or out of all or any of my Freehold or Copyhold hereditaments whatsoever of or to which I now am or may be seized or entitled and I direct that my said Wife shall upon the request and at the expense of the person requiring the same release all my Estates therefrom when thereunto required Provided always and I do hereby declare that if the Trustees hereby appointed or either of them or any future trustee of this my Will shall die or be desirous of being discharged from or refuse or become incapable to act in the trusts hereby created then and as often as the same shall happen it shall be lawful for the surviving or continuing trustees or trustee of this my Will or the Executors or Administrators of the last surviving or continuing Trustee by any writing or writings to appoint a new trustee or new trustees and that upon every such appointment all the trust premises shall be conveyed and assigned respectively in such manner as that the same may be vested in such new trustee or trustees solely or jointly with the surviving or continuing trustee And I hereby declare that the trustees or trustee for the time being under this my Will shall not be answerable the one for others or other of them and by no means for involuntary losses and that it shall be lawful for such trustees or trustee for the time being to reimburse themselves out of the monies which shall come to their hands by virtue of the trusts aforesaid all their costs and expenses in the execution of the said trusts And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Sons Isaac Gosden and William Gosden Executors of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have to each sheet of this my Will contained in five sheets of Paper subscribed my name this Tenth Day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two Isaac Gosden Signed by the Testator Isaac Gosden in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as witnesses thereto Swan Downer Dean clerk to Mr Mears Solr. This Will of Isaac Gosden late of the Parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer deceased was proved on the seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two before the Reverend Thomas Snell Clerk Surrogate of the Worshipful John Dr??er Bachelor of Law Commissary in and for the parts of Surrey lawfully constituted pending the annual visitation by the Oaths of Isaac Gosden and William Gosden the Sons of the deceased the Executors named in the said Will to whom administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.³



He died before 18 March 1842.⁴ He was buried on 18 March 1842 at St Lawrence, Chobham, Surrey, England.⁵

      Her married name was Stanley.¹ Hannah Laura Charles was born on 26 June 1899 at London, England; and her birth was recorded at Shoreditch registration office in the September quarter 1899.^2,3 She married Arthur William Edward Stanley, son of Arthur Robert Stanley and Elizabeth Emma Bear, on 6 June 1925 at All Saints, Kingston On Thames, Surrey, England; and their marriage was recorded at Kingston registration office in the June quarter 1925.^1,4 Hannah Laura Charles died in 1984 at Surrey, England; and her death was recorded at Kingston Upon Thames registration office in July 1984.⁵

     Edith Florence Stagg was born on 18 May 1913 at London, England; and her birth was recorded at Lambeth registration office in the June quarter 1913.^1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Stagg and Edith Annie Simpson.¹

     William James Dobson was born in 1918 at London, England; and his birth was recorded at Chelsea registration office in the September quarter 1918.¹ He was the son of William George Dobson and Florence Hone.¹ William James Dobson was baptized on 29 September 1918 at Holy Trinity, Kensington & Chelsea, Middlesex, England.²

     Myrtle Huddle was born on 23 May 1898 at Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.¹ As of 7 August 1920, her married name was Wallace.¹ She married John Wallace, son of James Wallace and Elizabeth Gosden, on 7 August 1920 at Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.¹ Myrtle Huddle died on 23 July 1965 at Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, at age 67.¹
