     Rupert Frederick John Faulkner was born on 13 May 1955 at Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.^1,2,3 He was the son of Denis Amani Faulkner and Helen Elida Halford.¹ Rupert Frederick John Faulkner , his parents and sister were recorded as UK Incoming Passengers from Hong Kong in board P&O S.N. Co. Corfu; staying at The Mill House, Broughton, Hampshire, England, for six months as visitors on 15 February 1960.² He writes 'I was born in Yokohama and educated in the UK. I read Japanese Studies at Cambridge University, from which I graduated in 1977. It was announced in The Times the next day where they are described as 'Mr John Michael Finch Halford, only son of Mr and Mrs C F Halford, of The Mill House, Broughton, near Stockbridge, Hampshire and Miss Bridget Moyra Russell, only daughter of Commander A B Russell RN (retd.) of 35 Fountain House, Park Street, W., and Lady Tredegar, of Matacelle, Mougins, France...The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white silk brocade with a train falling from the waist...She was attended by a page' and a child bridesmaid; a reception was held at Claridge's hotel.^5,1,6

Her birth was announced in The Times two days later.^1,4,5 She was the daughter of Gerrard Herman Francis Miesegaes and Beverley Ann Halford.¹ Lucinda Nell Miesegaes was christened on 16 April 1964 at Chelsea Old Church, Chelsea, London, England; and her christening was announced in The Times of 18 April 1964 as 'The infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Jimmy Miesegaes was christened Lucinda Nell by the Rev.
