Anthony St. Vincent George Enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy and his records have been digitised online by the National Archives of Australia; he gave his mother Alice as his next of kin on 1 February 1939.1,3 He was listed during the Second World War as 'Midshipman (E)' on the List of Naval Forces of the Dominions (Australia) of 1944 on 1 January 1943.4 He was also listed during the Second World War as 'Acting Sub-Lieutenant (E)' on the List of Naval Forces of the Dominions (Australia) of 1945 on 1 May 1944.5 He was recorded as 'Lieutenant (E)' on the Navy List of the Royal Australian Navy, List of Officers on the Retired List on 16 December 1945.6 He was recorded as having been awarded a Great Britain, Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate as Lieutenant (E) R.A.N., c/o R.A.N.L.O., Canberra House, Jermyn Street, London, W1, taken on a Tiger Moth 2 at Gosport, Hampshire, England on 24 November 1948.7,8 He lived in 1949 at Woollahra, New South Wales, Australia; and he was recorded on the Electoral Roll as a Naval Officer.9 He married Helen Louise (?) circa 1952.10 Lt. Anthony St. Vincent George was Discharged from the Royal Australian Navy and his posting at Discharge was Lieutenant (E) on HMAS Penguin on 4 August 1953.11 He was recorded as 'Lieutenant (E)' on the Navy List of the Royal Australian Navy, List of Officers on the Retired List from 16 December 1945 in July 1957.12 He died on 30 December 1975 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, at age 50; and his death was recorded in New South Wales.13,1 His death notice published on 1 January 1976 in the Sydney Morning Herald described him as 'late of Vaucluse.14'
